Edbentor and the environment

Edbentor cares about the environment and is fully committed to all rules and regulations that govern the protection of the environment and our natural resources. In response to the RoHS and WEEE directives, Edbentor has implemented a policy that ensures all our products are in full compliance. The RoHS directive restricts the sales of products that contain any of the six banned chemical substances (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, PBB, and PBDE). Our policy extends beyond the scope of our products as we encourage our customers to comply with these important environmental standards. Edbentor's engineering design policy incorporates materials and components that reduce hazardous substances. Additionally, Edbentor products consist of materials that can be reused or recycled, and if applicable, labeled for proper disposal at the end of their lifespan. In meeting these standards, Edbentor seeks the continued protection of our environment, as well as the interests of all our customers.

In accordance with Edbentor environmental guidelines, our primary goals are:

  1. Continue to produce quality products that are in compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives
  2. Maintain our current inventory of RoHS compliant components and materials. All Edbentor parts, whether sourced or produced, comply with the RoHS directive (this statement excludes military products or customer-specific parts that do not require compliance with the RoHS directive)
  3. Encourage all our customers and vendors to implement environmental policies that will enhance the effectiveness of the two directives
