Edbentor offers a line of standard products that satisfy many customer requirements. However, we understand that there are cases when our customers need alternatives. A few modifications to an existing Edbentor product might be a cost effective solution. For projects that require custom considerations, we proudly provide the the following services.

Our experienced staff of engineers can help our clients through all phases of enclosure design and manufacture. We work with our clients to ensure that their product requirements are analyzed and incorporated into their custom design. Edbentor’s design process has enabled us to repeatedly meet our customer specifications in a timely manner. The engineering department has implemented the following design process with great success.
Engineering

PROCEDURE 1: Initial client/design team interface - Your first meeting with the team is to address your issues and concerns. We analyze and interpret your data to give you a general idea as to how we will approach your project. Our design concept meeting will allow us to discuss your product’s features and how we can make it functional. Ultimately, our design will be based on information that you have provided to us, so it is important that we clarify your requirements.

PROCEDURE 2: Quotation - After reviewing your requirements, the engineering team will provide you with an itemized quote for your project's design schedule and costs. All related engineering processes will be detailed for your review. At this time, Edbentor will await your final approval before beginning any design work on your custom product.

PROCEDURE 3: Engineering design - Our engineering staff will research and assemble the best solutions for your project. We have a proven track record of customer satisfaction with our designs. We pride ourselves in using the best design tools available. Using a 3-D modeling program, you will have a 3-D rendering of your product to examine.

PROCEDURE 4: Design review - After examining drawings of your project, you will once again have a meeting with our engineers. We will answer your questions and consider changes to the design if you determine another alternative is necessary. If our designs meet your approval, we will then prepare your project for prototyping.

PROCEDURE 5: Mechanical drawings - At this point in the design process, we itemize your project and provide mechanical drawings for each part. This ensures an accurate and precise fabrication of each item. In addition, these mechanical drawings will then be released into our Document Control department for file maintenance.

PROCEDURE 6: Prototype assembly - Our manufacturing plant can fabricate prototypes quickly to reduce your waiting period. After fabrication, your prototype parts are then assembled to specification. We test the parts individually, and as a whole, for mechanical accuracy and functionality. When we have determined that the prototype meets Edbentor standards, we authorize the prototype for any additional processes you require. This includes processes such as powder coating, silk screening, integration, testing, etc. We also generate a Bill of Materials for your project to account for every part in your product.

PROCEDURE 7: Final project review - The last stage of our design process calls for a final meeting between you and our design team. A first article of your product will be provided (if applicable). Here, we determine your level of satisfaction and discuss any final issues regarding your project. This includes releasing your project for production, pending purchase orders, pricing, lead times, shipping requirements, etc. With our design process, Edbentor can help your company and your products achieve success.
